We produce our loden clothing entirely in-house, 100% in Austria. The loden is made from 100% new wool (non-mulesing wool), a renewable raw material, produced in our loden manufactory in Ramsau am Dachstein. Loden has been traditionally and carefully crafted here for centuries.

Our men's clothing made from loden combines craftsmanship and exceptional comfort. For nearly 600 years, the finest loden has been processed at Lodenwalke Ramsau – a wealth of experience that is woven into every garment we create. The unique loden fabric is not only particularly soft and comfortable but also resistant. For our loden clothing, we exclusively use 100% new wool from responsibly reared sheep (non-mulesing).
Where is our loden clothing made?
Our products are made from 100% Lodenwalker Ramsau. From raw wool to finished loden, we produce our fabrics 100% on-site at Lodenwalke Ramsau. In the heart of nature, the loden is crafted through many stages of craftsmanship. Even the energy used for production comes from our own hydroelectric power stations. The entire collection is sewn and processed in our in-house tailoring workshop in Ramsau am Dachstein and at our company-owned tailoring workshop in Wildon (Styria). The entire production takes place within one federal state, in an area of about 200 km.

Our collection ranges from sporty loden ski clothing and classics to casual leisurewear. In addition to the traditional "Schladminger ", we also offer our popular embroidered loden trousers and the classic Steirer suit. We have something for every age and every occasion. We also offer on-site consultation and alteration services to ensure that your new loden favourite fits perfectly to your needs. While the designs may differ, they all have one thing in common: they are made from 100% new wool.

Due to its structure, composition, and natural lanolin content (wool fat), new wool is breathable, temperature-balancing, odour-neutral, and soothing. When refined into loden fabric, new wool shows its full potential: loden is additionally water-repellent, quiet, and particularly easy to care for.
How to care for your loden clothing made from new wool?
It’s important to air the garment thoroughly in fresh air. This helps release unpleasant odours and refresh garments made from loden or wool. Dirt and stains are best brushed out with a mild vinegar-water solution and a fine clothes brush.
