We produce everything ourselves, 100% in Austria, using traditional methods and have done so since the very beginning, in 1434.
Why Lodenwalker
Almost 600 years passion, tradition & experience. We produce slow fashion, and not fast fashion. We do not practice greenwashing. Fulled and sewn 100% in Austria. We have always only used 100% pure new wool from sheep (mulesing-free). We generate our own energy from hydropower. We have been a family-run business for countless generations. We rely on gentle processing for example by using natural thistles and air drying.
New wool is a true miracle fibre. Loden products are breathable, water-repellent and almost windproof.
Loden and new wool products should be aired well. Stains are best brushed out with a light vinegar solution.
By prior arrangement, we offer small alterations or repairs of our products on site.

Almost 600 years passion, tradition & experience in the production of loden & loden clothing. We produce slow fashion and not fast fashion, that is no longer wearable after a very short time. No greenwashing. Fulled and sewn 100% in Austria, even 100% in Styria. We have always used only 100% pure new wool from sheep (mulesing-free), a renewable raw material. We do not use opaque seals or certificates. Visit our transparent manufactory. We carry out alterations & customisations. We have always offered repairs for our loden products, purely as a matter of course, not for marketing reasons. We generate our own energy from hydropower. We have been a family-run business for countless generations. We do not use chemical or artificial treatments or impregnations on our loden. We rely on gentle processing, for example by using natural thistles and air drying. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our ancestors and employees, the Lodenwalke has existed for almost 600 years!
