This philosophy combines the expertise of the Lodenwalke Ramsau and the hunting outfitter Siegert in Graz. Together, we have combined our knowledge of hunting and loden production to develop classic and modern hunting clothing for men and women that meets the special requirements of hunting. Our hunting loden collection is available exclusively in the Lodenwalke Ramsau and at Siegert, as well as in both online shops.
What makes our Jagaloden hunting collection so special?
Not only the history of our company is unique, but also the quality of our loden, which is produced in a particularly gentle way. Especially when hunting, clothing must be functional and offer protection and comfort. And without compromise. The demands on hunting clothing are as varied as hunting itself.
Every product is made from 100% Ramsau loden, and the entire Jagaloden collection is manufactured in our own tailoring shops in Ramsau am Dachstein and Mureck in Styria. We bring our century-long refined craftsmanship to the point to offer quality that you can feel and wear on your skin with a clear conscience.
We are also happy to offer alterations and customised products on site in Ramsau am Dachstein by prior arrangement.
Why is loden so suitable for hunting clothing?
Our loden is made from 100% new wool. New wool is a high-tech fibre by nature. It is a renewable raw material and biodegradable. Due to its composition, structure and natural lanolin content (wool grease), new wool is breathable, temperature-balancing, odourless, soft, quiet and pleasant to wear. Wearing comfort is crucial for hunting clothing, and in this respect loden is simply unbeatable thanks to its natural properties. For good reason, loden has always been worn for hunting.
Can hunting clothing be both functional and comfortable?
Thanks to the advantages of loden, hunting clothing is also comfortable, because loden is naturally soft and smooth. As active hunters, we are familiar with the many challenges faced on the mountain, in the forest and in the meadows, and together we have incorporated this experience into our collection. Why are new wool & loden the best choice of hunting clothing for every season?
Different weather conditions require different clothing. The best loden jacket will not perform well when hunting if it is combined with synthetic fibre or plastic underwear. Depending on the season, we recommend wearing several layers of loden or new wool for good warmth and air exchange. We clearly focus on functionality from nature. For us, that means loden made from 100% new wool. Loden is temperature-balancing, warms even when damp and can absorb up to 33% of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet on the body. New wool can wick moisture away to the outside. The right choice of clothing is absolutely essential, because hunting can quickly become uncomfortable with the wrong clothing.
Loden still plays a central role in traditional hunting clothing today, because loden adapts perfectly to the conditions of hunting in different landscapes and weather conditions.
