Air out new wool products regularly and thoroughly. Stains can be gently brushed out with a mild vinegar water. This removes dirt and odours while refreshing the colours.

Yes, stains can be removed from your new wool product using a mild vinegar water or curd soap. For the vinegar water, use ordinary white houshold vinegar. Mix lukewarm water with a generous splash of vinegar.

You can use curd soap, a mild detergent without bleach, or a special wool detergent.

In principle, yes. The best option is, after hand washing (for example with wool blankets), to gently press out the excess water and then dry it laid out as flat and wide as possible.

Always dry knitted new wool products flat to maintain their shape. Loden (woven wool fabric) can also be dried on a clothes hanger.

If your new wool product has shrunk, it was unfortunately washed incorrectly – most likely at a temperature that was too hot. Sadly, there is nothing you can do to reverse this. New wool shrinks when exposed to high heat or sudden temperature changes. We recommend hand washing in lukewarm water and rinsing at the same temperature. If in doubt, wash and rinse cold.

Yes, new wool products made by us can often be repaired, depending on the individual case. Please note that we only accept items for repair in a cleaned condition. Feel free to contact us – we will be happy to advise you.

These steps help keep moths away from new wool products: air them out regularly, clean with a mild vinegar water (mix ordinary white household vinegar with a good splash of vinegar, approx. 4 : 1, water to vinegar), and/or store them with scented sachets such as lavender or cedar wood. For longer storage, an airtight box is suitable – just make sure the new wool products are always cleaned before being stored.

If you notice a moth infestation in your new wool product, clean your wardrobe thoroughly with a vinegar water and steam the wool item well with a steam iron. Small moth holes can often be mended.
